Who We Are
Based in Santaquin Utah, Skills on Wheels is a registered 501(C)(3) Nonprofit chartered with the sole purpose of assisting young children who are struggling to read and write.
During our in-person or zoom sessions, one of our instructors will work regularly with the child and their parent or legal guardian. The student will grow in their confidence, desire & skill. Meanwhile, their guardian will learn skills to help the child excel.
Debbie Sperry founded Skills on Wheels after seeing so many bright and vibrant children not learning basic reading skills. Armed with both years of formal training and experience helping struggling readers, Debbie knew she had the skills & the passion to make a difference.
Debbie has been such a blessing to our family and especially my autistic daughter, Lucy. Lucy is becoming a proficient reader and writer, something we never thought was possible.

Debbie is working with my daughter Jenny, who is at the top of her kindergarten class. She is great with the kids, she is kind, and knows how to motivate them to achieve their potential.
Emilymom
Hands down I would recommend Debbie to anybody who is needing help tutoring for reading and writing. She's the very best!!

Skills on Wheels helped my son master more than half of his reading IEP goals in only four month. He has a happier attitude and has gained new reading skills.

I like going to Mrs Sperry's reading class. I like it because we read and have snacks. She helps me learn more sounds so I can read better, we also learned how to write! She is really fun to read with.

My son went to Mrs. Sperry’s summer school. His confidence grew and he was proud of himself when he hit his goals. She has always been so inviting and makes it such a positive experience.

The most amazing thing about Debbie is that she almost single-handedly taught our autistic daughter how to read and write. I cannot overstate how amazing this is for us.

Melayne has fun ways of learning and my son loves going to her. He came to her well below grade level and now is almost caught up.
