How We Help

How We Help

In Person Training (for those able to come to Santaquin): 3 private thirty-minute sessions per week -OR- 3 sixty minute group lessons with 2-3 students. The synergy generated in a group is often advantageous for students and parents alike.

Zoom Training: 3 thirty-minute sessions per week with the student & parent together.

Who We Are

Based in Santaquin Utah, Skills on Wheels is a registered 501(C)(3) Nonprofit chartered with the sole purpose of assisting young children who are struggling to read and write.

During our in-person or zoom sessions, one of our instructors will work regularly with the child and their parent or legal guardian. The student will grow in their confidence, desire & skill. Meanwhile, their guardian will learn skills to help the child excel.

Debbie Sperry founded Skills on Wheels after seeing so many bright and vibrant children not learning basic reading skills. Armed with both years of formal training and experience helping struggling readers, Debbie knew she had the skills & the passion to make a difference.
